One small step for man...

Gemma Fagbadegun

The Guardian reported this week that there was a 2.3% rise in the number of university students from the most disadvantaged fifth of the UK's population. At first glance, it's not exactly an awe-inspiring increase, but we can't expect miracles overnight, and it's great to see that over 30,000 teenagers from the poorest fifth of the population are settling into their first year at university right now.
We've been researching the destinations of our Y13 students who have benefitted from the IntoUniversity programme, which aims to inspire young people to achieve. We were really delighted to discover that 78% of our Y13 students have progressed to Higher Education or Further Study! We're so proud of their achievements and we look forward to hearing from them about how they are getting on in their studies.
