Every Summer, IU North Kensington runs a Carnival Club for local students. In the weeks leading up to Notting Hill Carnival students take part in cultural and creative workshops based on the year's theme, and prepare their outfits, songs and dance routines for carnival day itself. This year, the theme was Reggae Reggae Circus, and who better to teach us about Reggae Reggae flavours than Levi Roots himself?
Levi started off by telling the students about the importance of eating healthily and some of his favourite fruits and flavours, as well as the importance of being yourself and having strong branding when you create a product. He then made a tropical fruit smoothie which everyone enjoyed tasting. Students split into groups to design and make their own smoothie, which they presented to their peers with posters and slogans. Levi loved judging the smoothies, and was very enthusiastic about them! He was very entertaining, and might even have inspired some future chefs and entrepreneurs.
