IU Supplementary Schools Project - Alisha's update

IntoUniversity Supplementary Schools Project Worker

2015 passed by with a blink of an eye, and I can hardly believe I have been working as IntoUniversity's Supplementary Schools Project Worker for almost half a year! The last six months have been energetic, fun and inspiring.

We've been delivering to supplementary schools all over London and have visited a whole range of universities including Imperial College London, Birkbeck University, Middlesex University and the University of Westminster.

Our supplementary school students have visited university campuses all over the country and met many university students along the way who have taught them about life at university - it has been amazing. Aerospace engineering student Umar at Imperial College London inspired so many of our young people - there are definitely some aerospace engineering applications just around the corner!

The IUSSP team are excited to continue working with so many fantastic people in the supplementary education sector across the UK. We've got visits to Manchester and the East Midlands in the diary and lots of teacher training sessions booked in, too.

And we'll soon be launching our brand new website, featuring our Teachers' Toolkit videos. These videos are full of useful tips on applying to university and will be free to watch for anyone interested in higher education - watch this space for more information!

Here's to all the new experiences to be had at IntoUniversity in 2016.
